They are a "bee/butterfly/beetle and urban meadow mix". We hope you will find it an interesting/fun project to plan for the upcoming holiday so that you and your children can encourage more pollinators into our villages. They are a ball made from seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The ball prevents the seeds from being a tasty lunch for birds and insects. Easy to use, no digging and no expert knowledge needed! Throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter, leaving at least 10cm between each ball. Your seed ball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate!

Then: let Barford School's Eco-Club and the Parish Council know how you get on!

This is part of a community project ... That climate change and nature loss are interlinked and must be tackled together was made clear in a recent IPCC report.
