Barford and Wramplingham lie at the confluence of the Rivers Yare and Tiffey and so are affected by:

conditions upstream and how they might change
-
conditions within the villages and
-
by the way that water is managed downstream as it flows down to Norwich and out to the North Sea.

Anglian Water advises that the responsibility for maintenance of ordinary watercourses lies with anyone who owns land or property adjacent to a watercourse. This is known as Riparian Ownership.
