We have concerns about any large scale development built upstream of Barford & Wramplingham on either the River Yare or River Tiffey at this point of the drainage system.

-
It should be noted that periods of heavy rain upstream of us on impervious surfaces leads to an immediate rise in water levels here at the confluence of the Tiffey and the Yare

-
Since new development immediately upstream of us in Wymondham, residents talk of a tidal wave of water coming down the River Tiffey
-
Immediately downstream of us (to the east), the Yare River system is managed to hold water back and retain it here, in order to prevent flooding in Norwich

-
Properties in both Barford and Wramplingham already experience flooding from the rising water table, overflowing rivers and because the foul sewer system cannot cope.
